Namale Oneness University, Fiji
Dear Oneness Friends,
Greetings
from the beautiful Fiji; Bula! I want to share news from the Inaugural process at our spectacular
new Fiji Campus with all of you. I was there with Raniji, many of the coordinators from all over
the world, and approximately one hundred participants from different parts of the world. The
Oneness University Fiji was consecrated on March 20th, at the stroke of midnight, in an
unforgettable ceremony led by Sri Amma and Bhagavan's son Krishnaji, along with the guides
Krishnaraji, Rajeevji, Radhakrishnaji, Rajeshji, Muraliji and of course our dear Anandagiriji. As
you all know, the hosts were Tony and Sage Robbins, who generously donated the new campus in
gratitude for the many miracles that the Oneness Blessing has brought to them.
There were many memorable moments in the ceremony, but the most incredible, exhilarating
experience was a live broadcast of Sri Amma and Bhagavan from India, using equipment that allowed
us to speak to them and allowed them to see each one of us as if they were in the room, making for
a darshan that was far more real than virtual. I cannot tell you how moved we all were by seeing
our beloved Sri Amma and Bhagavan in front of us, projected as in a hologram, but having a dialogue
with us and blessing each and every one of us. I am still recovering from this unbelievable
experience! Bhagavan was so happy and chatty, and Amma even addressed Sage in a little bit of
English! After the darshan the guides, Acharyaji and Krishnaji led us in a profound session of
prayers and blessing, and the joy and grace in the room had many of us in tears.
In just six
months, Tony and Sage have developed this place into a slice of heaven. The campus sits atop a
cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. On one end is the ocean, and on the other it is bordered by
over 300 acres of tropical rainforest that have become a natural preserve through Tony's patronage.
There are palm fronds and a variety of mature, majestic trees, gentle breezes and clean, crisp air.
The facility could easily be described as a small resort with room for 75 people and all the
amenities you could encounter in a fine tropical hotel. All the structures are built from natural
woods, with details in glass, stone and tile. Each bedroom sleeps two in very comfortable beds and
modern tiled bathrooms with a separate vanity, mirror and closet.
Opposite the dorm building sits a meditation hall that is truly a work of fine craftsmanship and
exquisite design. A gravel walkway surrounded by palms leads to a wooden platform and steps
bordered by two small pools where the circulating water is strewn with bright colored flowers. The
sound of the moving water promotes instant calm as you enter the ample hall. The thatched roof
makes for very high ceilings crossed by decorative beams, a pattern that is repeated on the walls.
The level of detail is amazing; for example, the rope that is wrapped around these tall beams that
circle the hall is cut in the shape of symbols of the different faiths; the Cross, the Star of
David, the OM, the Moon and Star of Islam, and there are touches like this all over.
The floors
and walls of the hall are made of honey colored wood polished to a high gleam. We sit on the floor
in gigantic bean bags, but chairs with upholstered seats and backs are also available. There are
several bathrooms with very modern equipment and beautiful fixtures on each side of the hall. The
main room is air-conditioned and has ceiling fans, and features the most cutting edge sound and
audiovisual equipment. The entire campus has this mixture of peaceful beauty with functionality,
including free wireless internet service everywhere, hence this email!! Attached to the meditation
hall is a smaller structure which serves as the dining hall and features indoor or alfresco dining
overlooking the ocean.
The fare here is one of the most important improvements on our previous experience, by which I
mean that there is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, FRESH FOOD served every day! There is a variety of salads,
pasta, fish and sweets, teas and fresh juices, served buffet style and in abundance, simply as good
as any quality hotels, and the service here is impeccable.
Lastly, the back of the meditation and dining halls features the most magnificent part of the
campus, and I'm not sure I'll be able to describe it accurately, but I'll try, and I'll be sure to
post some photographs on the website. The meditation hall opens up to a long terrace where
comfortable benches with large cushions are lined up for the comfort of the guests. This terrace
ends in four descending tiers of water that run the length of the terrace and form a reflecting
pool that overlooks the ocean, a place where you could sit and gaze into the blue forever.
The staff at the Oneness campus is as efficient, warm and attentive as you can find in some of
the best establishments in the hospitality industry. Everyone speaks English, and they look after
your every need with promptness and a genuine smile on their face. The handling of arrival and
registration is managed like clockwork by the campus staff. While the Nadi airport is relatively
small, the staff of the two airlines and one charter that serve Savusavu is extremely warm and
professional.
The peace and beauty that one experiences here is conducive to deep spiritual work, and I can
say, without reservations, that this campus and our process here are a complete success, and the
joy and calm that people already feel is sure to carry them into wonderful states. So, send lots of
people to Fiji; I send you all my love. Blessings.
Evelyn
